Hi, I am Sarah! I specialize in helping kids succeed with childhood activities like toileting, feeding, self-care and play. I help children and families improve their functioning by addressing sensory processing skills, motor skills, and general routines and habits.
With a Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Western Connecticut State University, and A Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Boston University I am able to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services with insight into research and collaborative practices.
In my free time I love to create art and usually have a fun project going. I also love to play with my energetic toddler and explore the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with my family. During my time living in New York City I preformed with several improvisational comedy groups. I found that Improvisation is a great tool for building responsive relationships and promoting play - I often use improv techniques in my therapy and teaching.
I share information and ideas related to occupational therapy on my blog. Unless otherwise noted, all photographs, handouts, and writings on the blog are by Sarah. If you would like to share, please send a note first. This a personal blog and is not intended to act as therapeutic advice, please see terms & conditions for more information on that.
